Fabulous Friday!

This week has felt very long and a bit stressful, so Friday is much welcomed! 

On the other hand, I start classes again on Monday...so Friday is a bittersweet occurance. I will be taking four classes this semester on Mondays and Wednesdays while still working as much as I can. 

Can I just say that I almost cried when I bought my textbooks this semester?! For my four classes I have already spent around $400 on books alone :( 

On the positive side I am actually looking forward to these classes! As I get closer to finishing school my classes get more relevant and that is exciting! 

I want to share one thing that I will be doing this weekend to make it fabulous (I would share more but I am running late for work)! 

Saturday morning my prince and I and my parents are going to Stillwater to look at a reception site that we are VERY interested in. The extra exciting part is that it is a boat! 

I will share more details later and hopefully pictures, but I am very excited as plans are coming together!

New Years Resolution

This year I was trying to think of a New Years resolution and things came to mind such as eating better, excercising more, being more organized, etc...then I realized that all of these things are my attempt to make a better me, on the outside.

If my goal or resolution is to look good on the outside, then who am I trying to please?

"People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samual 16:7

The Lord looks at our hearts, and therefore, that is what I should be focussed on. What is the condition of my heart? 

God wants our hearts to be: 

repentant "The sacrifice you want is a broken spirit. A broken and repentant heart, O god, you will not despise." Psalm 51:17

pure "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" Matthew 5:8

obediant "Not all people who sound religious are really godly. They may refer to me as Lord, but they still won't enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The decisive issue is whether they obey my Father in heaven." Matthew 7:21

This is my New Years Resolution. That my heart will be repentant, pure, and obediant. Only God can truly change a heart, but we must be willing and take the action to allow Him to work in our lives!

It's Monday night...and I am still recovering from Friday! My prince and I stayed up ALL night with the Youth group at our new church. I was so determined to stay awake...I had some Mountain Dew! (Which I haven't had a sip of in like 4 years)! Anyways, the night/morning was filled with games, music, food, and lots of pictures! here are a few :)

Like father like son-in-law

I've always been told I will marry someone like my dad... 

well it's true. :)

My dad has been a youth pastor my whole life, and my prince has wanted to be a youth pastor for a long time. Recently, my prince was offered and accepted a job as the youth pastor of a church in Ramsey, MN! Like father, like son-in-law! 

This is an answer to prayer, and also a scary step of faith. It is evident that this is a God-thing, and we are trusting him as we step into his plan! 

 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
      do not depend on your own understanding.
 Seek his will in all you do,
      and he will show you which path to take"

Provers 3:5-6

Isaiah 58:11

I am so glad that the Lord cares about my life. I am lost without his guidance. Only He knows what is truly best for me, so I choose to trust His plan! 

today is New Years Eve. We will actually be spending the night at our new church youth allllllllllll nighter. Sledding, music, food, sleep...

New years day we have a wedding to attend! I will most likely be sleeeping after that so I might not talk to you for awhile, but pictures will be coming!

back to work

hi ho hi ho it's back to work I go...but I had a wonderful time with my family at our hotel getaway! Time really does fly when you are having fun!

I took a few pictures at the beginning, but the rest of the days I was a bit of a photo-slacker...
