Simply Wonderful

Tonight my prince and I went on a walk.
There was a sunset.
And water.
And trees.

Simply Wonderful.

(BEWARE: cellphone pics...)

It is impossible for me to be around creation, and not be in awe of the creator.

God created the world.
The world is His creation.
His artwork.
His display.

"The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
      The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known."

~Psalm 19:1-2

Lately I have been hearing alot about evolution. It is such a widely accepted theory in our world today, but I believe with all my heart that it is nothing more than a divergence from the truth...
that we have a loving creator.
I will not rant and rave about this right now. However, I have such a passion for people to know the truth. The fact that God created the world is central to our worldviews.
I am starting to really look into depth at the flaws of the theory of evolution, and the EVIDENCE backing up creation.
So Stay tuned :)

Easter weekend

Monday is here.
I have two more weeks of classes left.
I hear birds chirping outside my window.
Easter weekend was wonderful.

Friday, I did some shopping, a little homework, got my wedding band (pictures to come :)!!), and went to a good Friday service at our church.

Saturday, I stayed in my pajamas all day long (which explains why there are no pictures...). I have been needing one of these days...and it was wonderful. My prince and I worked on some wedding plans, did a little homework, and finished season 7 of the show 24 :)

Sunday, Our Easter church service was wonderful. We were reminded that when Christ rose from the dead, He conquered sin and death. We are able to experience Christ's resurrecting power in our lives reflect the truth that Christ is alive?!

The rest of the day was spent with lots of wonderful food and family!

Hope your Easter was as sweet as mine! :)

Good Friday

Today is Good Friday...

It would be so easy to go through today as just another day. However, the truth is that without good Friday (and more importantly Easter), we would have no hope! Without Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection, we would be living each day on a road to death...but JESUS made a way for us to have LIFE forever. Only through him is this possible...

I AM SO THANKFUL that God's love for us is so great, that he sent his only son to DIE...that we might be healed.

"3 He was despised and rejected—
a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
He was despised, and we did not care.

 4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
5 But he was pierced for our rebellion,
      crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the Lord laid on him
      the sins of us all."

Isaiah 53:3-6

Check out this song by the Josiah Smith Band.

"You saw me falling, so you fell for me.
You saw me crying so you cried for me.
You saw me give up so you gave up everything.
You saw me dying so you died for me!"

Linking up with Ria! Remember today is my day off! I'm hoping to get some homework done (fingers crossed), and maybe a little shopping? :)

Then my prince is speaking tonight at church!

Have a fabulous Friday!

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday ! (is that an oxymoron?)

Here is a recap of my weekend :)

Friday night was a chill night for my prince and I. I must confess that we spent most of the night watching 24 :)

Saturday was a bridal shower for a sweet friend, Jonna! She is on the left next to her mom and soon to be mom-in-law.
 my sis!
cute cute...this sweetie pie is going to be one of Jonna's flowergirls (and also one of mine :))
Saturday I also babysat my adorable nieces...we had some quality girl time (watching Strawberry Shortcake, painting nails, coloring, photo booth...)
Sunday was church, lunch with the fam, hair cut and highlight, and then a girl date with my beautiful friend Ana! We went to Big Bowl restaurant, then stocked up on junk food and watched a chick flick ("Life As We Know It"...cute movie!)

this is an old picture, but here is Ana!

Notice that my weekend did not include any homework...(I sure have some catching up to do)!

Happy Monday to You!

In my spare time...

I feel like my blogging appearances have become a little irregular...Lately I've been a bit stressed out with school, wedding plans, work, sleep, exercise, and trying to find time to have free time.

My "free time" is when I usually fit blogging in. However, I have been obsessing over some other things lately...and I thought I should share :)

My prince "made me" start watching this incredibly addicting show. I have never really watched 24 before, and we started at season 7...but I am totally hooked. seriously. It is bad. I would recommend not watching it unless you have an abundance of time to sit and bite your nails. (haha)

My second spare time go to is any website that has to do with home decorating. Most recently I have been making a wish list on the Online Urban Outfitters Apartment Catalog :) hehe (dream on Laura).

I am re-reading this book. Crazy Love.
You should probably read it too...just saying :)

So when I'm not working, in class, doing homework, planning a wedding, being social, sleeping, or such...I am probably doing one of these three things! Now you know!

I hope everyone has a Fabulous Friday!!

Trendy Tuesday!

Attention! Tuesdays are now Trendy Tuesdays!

Simply a day to share cute, fun, and trendy apparel or accessories :)

I will begin!

I'm just loving Spring and everything that comes with it!
Lately I've been really loving the color yellow

What about you??
(Don't be shy to link up your favorite spring trends!)

a quick hello

I have about twenty minutes before class...I finally have a chance to say hello to all of you wonderful people!

My weekend was FUN but BUSY. Let me just say that procrastination is not a good thing. However, not procrastinating for me would mean that I have absolutely no down time or free time. This just isn't acceptable...therfore I procrastinate! (I know, I know...)

Friday I got the privaledge of helping my talented sis-in-law Ria photograph a wedding! This was such a cool, fun experience. The closer my big day gets, the more emotional I am at weddings :) oh how I love them!

Saturday I met with my friend Claire (the one on the left)
Claire was going to be in our wedding, but she is going to Kenya this summer to do missions! It is sad she will not be able to come, but I am SO very excited for her. I have not talked to her for a couple of months, but we met at Dunn Bros and ended up talking for three hours! I just love catching up with girlfriends :)

Also, Claire still needs to raise alot of money for Kenya (she leaves June 3rd) please pray!

Saturday also included a Spaghetti dinner and Silent auction for my little brother's baseball team...and a fun night at my sisters!

I realize this post is very random and not too exciting, and I honestly don't have much more to say. I also need to go to class now...BUT I would like to leave you with this...

““He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”” - 1 Peter 2:24

When life freaks out on me, this keeps me going.
