Like father like son-in-law

I've always been told I will marry someone like my dad... 

well it's true. :)

My dad has been a youth pastor my whole life, and my prince has wanted to be a youth pastor for a long time. Recently, my prince was offered and accepted a job as the youth pastor of a church in Ramsey, MN! Like father, like son-in-law! 

This is an answer to prayer, and also a scary step of faith. It is evident that this is a God-thing, and we are trusting him as we step into his plan! 

 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
      do not depend on your own understanding.
 Seek his will in all you do,
      and he will show you which path to take"

Provers 3:5-6

"The Lord will guide you continually.."

Isaiah 58:11

I am so glad that the Lord cares about my life. I am lost without his guidance. Only He knows what is truly best for me, so I choose to trust His plan! 

today is New Years Eve. We will actually be spending the night at our new church youth allllllllllll nighter. Sledding, music, food, sleep...

New years day we have a wedding to attend! I will most likely be sleeeping after that so I might not talk to you for awhile, but pictures will be coming!

back to work

hi ho hi ho it's back to work I go...but I had a wonderful time with my family at our hotel getaway! Time really does fly when you are having fun!

I took a few pictures at the beginning, but the rest of the days I was a bit of a photo-slacker...

Thankful

this is going to be a short post, but I wanted to say hello! Me and my prince are about to have a "Lie to Me" marathon :) It is a t.v. show we have been watching on netflix...check it out! 

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I am SO thankful for SO many things. Most of all I am thankful that Jesus came as a baby to bring hope and grace into the world!

God is big

hello! I really should be sleeping right now, but I haven't shared with all of you for a couple days...and I don't think I'm going to have much free time the next few days! My last day of work this week is Thursday, and then it is Christmas Eve...WOW.

I want to share a video with you that has helped me see Christmas from a new perspective.

this blows my mind. God is SO SO big, seriously.

This video reminds me how insignificant I am in comparison to God's greatness, but he chose to come to give us worth!

He became nothing so that we could become something. This is Christmas. Do you get it? GOD was born in a stable, lived, and died so that we could be saved from death! Let's not let Christmas loose it's power and joy!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his son into the world to condemn it, but to save it." John 3:16
